(formerly bucks squash and racketball club)
Racketball is growing in popularity for several reasons – less frenetic than squash, it provides a great workout with a competitive game for people of all ages and abilities. A great indoor alternative to tennis, it is increasing in popularity nationally.
Not a member? Ring us and tell us what you would like, and we can arrange either a beginner’s session or a refresher session. If you have played before, we can arrange an introductory game with a member. We also have “turn up and play” racketball night each Friday and club night each Sunday. Our club is run by the members, and we have championship courts, a lounge and bar, coaching facilities and a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for players of all standards.
For the slightly older squash player who wants to continue to play competitive sport, racketball is an ideal way to continue to play and of course keep fit. If you have never played, we have rackets for hire so that you can find out for yourself how enjoyable the game can be. Coaching is also available for those who prefer the more structured approach, or are starting off.
Friday Night is Racketball Club Night - come along and try it from 6.45 onwards.
We have also found that racketball is an excellent game for youngsters who have no previous court experience. The skills are easily acquired and the children rapidly gain confidence in their game. Those children who master the game can then be introduced to squash and find the transition easy.
There is an annual Winter Racketball Teams competition within the club, running through to April.
